Resumen
Ototoxicity secondary to the use of ear drops involves the concept that under specific circumstances, some of the components of these preparations can reach the inner ear and cause sensory damage. This chapter is a review of the potential routes of passage of these components to the inner ear, the pathogenesis of these events, and the experimental and clinical evidence available. Based on these descriptions and observations, safer means of using drops are suggested.
