Resumen

This study examined changes in high-poverty Chilean preschoolers’ narrative skills and alphabet knowledge after their caregivers participated in a shared reading training program. Through modeling, practice, and feedback, the ALMA Family Literacy Project provides parents and caregivers with a structured framework that promotes home language interaction to enrich literacy and socioemotional development.
