Resumen
All rights reserved. This article seeks to explore the reading made by Raymond Aron of Machiavelli's works before and during the Second War. Aron proposes an original reading of Florentino's work, in order to illuminate the European situation in the 1930s. Thus, he believes that Machiavelli's reading - and what he understands as Machiavellianism - can be especially useful for understanding the emergence of the totalitarian phenomenon, and fighting against it, an issue that leads him to discuss with Jacques Maritain.
