Resumen
The study of parliamentary origins in medieval Europa has concentrated almost exclusively on the analysis of the composition and business of assemblies and the transformation that turned them into cortes and parliaments. But a look at the changes concerning institutional nomenclature also contributes to the understanding of the political phenomenon, particularly when the study focuses on the sources of the second half of the twelfth century. In that period, the incoming use of the qualified concept curia plena is one of the signs of a new type of royal assembly in the making for León, Castile and Aragón.
