Resumen

In the western fringes of the ancient Roman Empire bishop Braulio of Zaragoza was notable for his erudition and his holy life. He is the author of the best preserved collection of let- ters of the Hispanic-Visigothic world, and his letters are an invaluable testimony to the religious life of his days. He is a faithful exponent of the literature of the Late Antiquity as well as an heir of the Latin Patristic Tradition. The only manuscript of this corpus of letters is located in Leon and has been edited on four occasions, in Latin and Castilian. Taking into account the wealth of these letters we propose a historical-theological approximation to the "spiritual project" of Braulio, as well as a rereading of the main aspects that would summarise his understanding of the virtues in the Christian's life of faith.
