Resumen
The governors of Tucumán during the reign of Charles II of Habsburg managed the problem of the incursions of the Chaco natives through negotiation and the search for consensus with different social actors, especially local ones. In turn, the solution to the conflict had two options: evangelization and military action, of which, in general, the governors preferred the latter. Thus, a process of militarization developed in the jurisdiction.
