Descripción

This research network between the Duke University Energy Initiative (DEI) Research Centre (USA), and the Center for Research in Biodiversity and Sustainable Environments (CIBAS) of the Universidad Catolica de la Santisima Concepcion (Chile), will combine the expertise of both groups on the subject to contribute to the development of high efficiency dc-dc converters and dc-ac converters for BESS based on second-life batteries. The main focus will be in combining the recent conclusions obtained on the second-life potential of used datacenter batteries from the Duke University group and the advances on ultra-high-efficiency partial power dc-dc converters and multilevel topologies for medium and high voltage applications from the Chilean group.
