Abstract

The present invention refers to an equipment to measure the permeability of intact cuticle of fruits, in vivo, as to determine its quality in a rapid manner, and which includes a sealed acrylic box (1) with compartments divided at specific distances, of which one is located on each end as to place the solution controlling the relative humidity, and the other for the Thermo-hygrograph sensor, where the intermediate compartments that will hold the fruit, in a number that will depend on the amount of fruit to analyze, an optical device with a zoom or microscopic lens (2) connected to a CCD digital camera, a computer (3) with a video card for image capture, means (4) for image processing, a spatial positioning support (5) with 3 axes (x, y, z), back lighting means (6), a thermo-hygrograph (7) with an external sensor, and a manual micro-pipette with micro-tips, and the associated method.
