Abstract
The King Arthur that Thomas Malory portrays in his Morte D’Arthur is especially interesting
because it represents a progress on the traditional model of the Medieval Knight. Making a
portrait of his personality from the tales of his youth serves to better understand the character
and the subsequent events of his story, as well as to comprehend how the Chivalric Ideal was
received in Literature.
