Abstract

This research describes and explains the jurisprudential trend that the Inter-American Human Rights System has developed in terms of ownership of conventional rights of legal persons. The advisory opinion OC-22/2016 is exposed and criticized, since it evidenced the regression of the complete system by denying ownership of these rights to legal persons. It is argued that this jurisprudential trend implies, directly or indirectly, a lack of protection of the human rights of natural persons.
