Abstract

Extending previous results [Gulich et al, Opt. Lett. 40, 5642 (2015)], we show that the pixel-based scintillation index is independent of the shape of the target; moreover, its behavior is found dependent not only ofC2n , but also the anisotropy of the turbulence expressed in terms of Hurst exponents [Funes et al, Opt. Lett. 41, 5696 (2016)].
