Abstract

Social and behavioral Science research aims to understand human behavior in Society and to produce useful knowledge. But such knowledge can only really have a positive impact on the well-being of society if it is acquired in accordance with the norms of scientific inquiry, assuring the reliability and validity of the indicators and outcomes and respecting the dignity of individuals, groups, and communities (Social Research Association, 2003). As such, the Social and behavioral Sciences can be a means to a better world if the knowledge that they produce is informed by ethical and responsible research (RRBM, 2017).
