Abstract
It has been usual to criticize Posthumanism for being a purely hypothetical speculation with no connection with our technological and scientific possibilities. It is argued here, nonetheless, that recent developments for the production of different kinds of hybrids -like pig-human hybrids- open real possibilities for the Posthumanist program. Posthumanism should be taken seriously. In this work, we present the main lines of Posthumanist ontology and ethics, and also some reasons to resist its program for social and political transformation.
