N2 - This research designs a tool based on entropy measures to assess the diversity of job profiles in organizations, with an emphasis on their alignment with strategic objectives. Using a multi-objective optimization approach, a process is proposed to adapt profiles in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives, considering each category that defines the characteristics of human resources. The tool, applied to the case of the Industrial Engineering Department of a private university in Colombia, allows for diagnosing current entropy and suggesting adjustments aimed at improving organizational performance. Although the tool is generic in structure, it adapts to the specific context of each institution. In the case analysed, the results show that most of the categories are classified as ‘variable/diverse’, with the exception of research (ordered) and attributes, teaching and talent development (balanced). This distribution reflects an institutional approach focused on creativity, innovation, inclusion and competitiveness, while promoting a solid organizational foundation.
