Abstract
This paper presents different interpretive proposals regarding femicidal suicide under Article 390 sexies of the Chilean Penal Code. The first section explains the dogmatic and criminal policy reasons for creating this rule of conduct. The second section presents three teleological frameworks through which the prohibitive rule can be interpreted as valid within the Chilean legal system. The third one demonstrates that this criminal offense constitutes a crime of endangerment transcending the abstract-concrete dichotomy. Therefore, messages that incite a woman to commit suicide could be punished under this criminal offense.
