Abstract

The family´s practices of language and literacy have an impact on children. The objective of this study was to examine the feasibility of the virtual version of a face-to-face program for improving these skills. Group workshops, aimed at parents, were organized to promote parental self-efficacy and literacy practices. This mixed study compared the results obtained in both modalities, which showed a similar attendance and a less weekly frequency of practices in the virtual modality.

Both modalities reported improvements in self-efficacy and the perception of change when a comparison was made between the situation of the participants before and after attending the workshops.
