The editors are publishing this note to alert readers to concerns about this article (1). The veracity of the findings in this article is in question due to apparent instances of duplication and an allegation of plagiarism, including: • Figures 1B (XRCC1/MCF-7-CISr) and 3B (XRCC1/MCF-7) appear to contain duplicate bands. • Figures 2B (CDC25b/MCF-7) and 4B (CDC25b/MCF-7) appear to contain duplicate bands. • Figures 2B (XRCC1/MCF-7-CISr) and 6C (XRCC1/Thiostrepton) appear to contain duplicate bands. • In Fig. 6C, BRCA2/(-)48 & 72 hours and BRCA2/(Thiostrepton) 0 & 24 hours appear to contain duplicate bands. Imperial College London, the institution of the corresponding author at the time of publication, is currently investigating these concerns and the journal will provide an update once a resolution has been reached.
