Abstract

Most peripartum neurological complications are due to compressive neuropathy secondary to obstetric causes and usually recover spontaneously. The incidence of permanent neurological injury after neuraxial anesthesia is very rare. The suspicion and rapid evaluation of a possible complication favors a good outcome.
