Abstract

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) has promoted a conception of the academic profession that integrates research to enhance teaching and learning processes in Higher Education. However, there are few references that address the conditions conducive to its development at the institutional level. This study reports on the adaptation of the FIC-SoTL framework (Facilitating Institutional Conversations about SoTL) to the Chilean context, which addresses key aspects for its promotion, with 12 dimensions to develop including several examples of good practices. The adaptation was based on four iterative refinement cycles, involving the participation of 36 academics and professionals from 23 universities. The result is an adapted and validated instrument for the national context, which can be useful for promoting reflections within universities and guiding policies to strengthen teaching research at the institutional level.
