Personal profile
Research interests
Her research lines are oriented to the design and implementation of solution methods to resource planning and programming problems, through mathematical models and algorithms.
Her main field of study is framed in port logistics and cargo transportation of foreign trade. In this area, she also works on qualitative studies, with the aim of analyzing aspects related to the competitiveness of ports, governance, the port-city relationship and sustainability; in addition to the study of best practices for the implementation of inter-organizational information systems and technologies in ports. In other application areas, she also works in urban logistics on problems related to the design of delivery areas and vehicle routing.
In addition, she also works on problems associated with production planning and logistics of perishable agricultural products, with a focus on strengthening small growers through coordination mechanisms to facilitate their first mile logistics.
She has participated in various applied research projects with applications in Chilean ports, with funding from the regional governments of Tarapacá and Valparaíso, as well as the CORFO agency.
