I am Professor and Researcher in the Faculty of Dentistry of Universidad de los Andes, I did my master's degree and PhD degree in Integrated Clinic, with a mention in physical-chemical and biological properties of dental materials. Besides, I am an active member of scientific groups that work on projects about the development and characterization of particles with bioactive properties, as well as experimental dental materials and clinical research. One of this research group is considered one of the 5 best study groups in adhesion in the world. In this sense, I have more than 35 WOS publications, most of them in Q1 quartile. As a result of these research, I have won awards from the Brazilian Group of Dental Materials (GBMD), as well as the Hatton Prize from the International Association for Dental Research - Chilean Division. My areas of research interest are the development of experimental dental biomaterials, improvement of protocols for adhesion to dental substrates, adhesion to ceramic and resinous materials and polymers, bleaching protocols, as well as the incorporation and optimization of digital dentistry in the area of oral rehabilitation and implantology. All this done through in vitro and in situ design studies, as well as randomized clinical trials.
