Teaching
Between 2008 and 2024 I worked as a university professor at the Casa Grande University in Guayaquil, Ecuador. I taught subjects such as: Research Methodology 1; Organizational Communication 1 and 2; Public Relations 2; Public Relations and New Media Scenarios; Online-Offline Reputation and Crisis Management; Media Mapping and Public Opinion; Strategic Communication Planning; Image, Communication and Politics; Brand Reputation and Social Media Management.
At Universidad de los Andes, I currently teach Strategic Communication, Crisis Management, Society and Trends. In addition, I have conducted teaching-learning processes with the Case Methodology and playful pedagogical learning instances. I have worked in curricular redesign of careers related to the field of communication, both undergraduate and graduate. Direction of undergraduate and graduate degree projects.
Research interests
My research career is focused on two main areas: political communication and strategic communication and public relations.
In the field of political communication I study phenomena such as political communication strategies in electoral context in social networks, sentiment analysis in the context of protests, female political leadership, among others.
In the field of strategic communication and public relations I have focused on: studying the development of the discipline of Public Relations, its teaching and social impact. In addition to corporate, strategic and reputational communication applied to case studies. And the dynamics of communication and consumption with digital contexts.
