Research interests
My research focuses on the intersection of communication, health, and ageing, with an emphasis on digital literacy among older adults. Using qualitative and participatory approaches, I have examined the adoption and forced use of technologies in later life, identifying barriers, facilitators, and attitudes. This work seeks to understand how the grey digital divide impacts quality of life, autonomy, and social participation, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I also develop digital training projects in community centers, applying adapted methodologies, co-design, and impact evaluation. In addition, I study health communication and science dissemination, addressing ethical, narrative, and media challenges in digital environments. Currently, I am extending this agenda to virtual reality in palliative care, exploring its potential to improve the quality of life of patients and families.
