Personal profile
Research interests
Dr. Bachmann’s research focuses on the use of non-invasive respiratory monitoring technologies in critically ill patients. Her main areas of interest include:
- Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) applied to respiratory physiotherapy
- Measurement of β-lactam antibiotics in the exhaled breath condensate of mechanically ventilated patients
- Evaluation of ventilatory efficiency through postural changes in patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
Teaching
Dr. Bachmann teaches in the field of clinical kinesiology, particularly in subjects related to respiratory therapy, ventilatory monitoring, and the clinical application of innovative technologies in critically ill patients. Her work is key to training future professionals in evidence-based respiratory care.
