Personal profile
Research interests
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from Universidad de los Andes (2016), which I entered with an Honors Scholarship, and a Master’s degree in Literature from Universidad de Chile (2023). My thesis, “La parodia como recurso estructurante de La fingida Arcadia de Tirso de Molina,” received the highest honors.
My academic record includes a published article in Anuario Calderoniano (2021, Scopus) and presentations at international conferences such as JISO (Universidad de Navarra, 2022 and 2024) and the International Association of Hispanists (AIH, 2025). Between 2023 and 2024, I presented at the “Jornadas de Investigación en Edad Media y Modernidad Temprana” (Universidad de Chile), later joining its organizing committee in 2025. Similarly, in 2026, I organized and presented at the “Jornadas de investigación de postgrado en Literatura.” In 2022 and 2025, I was a graduate researcher for the FONDECYT regular project N°1220820, focusing on palatine comedy of the Renaissance and Baroque.
Professionally, I have experience as a head of department and teacher in secondary education. Since 2025, I have been teaching in the Bachillerato program and at the CEG (Universidad de los Andes), where I am currently a part-time faculty member while pursuing my PhD in Literature at Universidad de Chile.
Research interests
My research has focused primarily on Spanish Golden Age theater, especially its conventions and aesthetic theories. Tirso de Molina has been of particular interest to me due to the way he expressed his poetics through his works. On the other hand, I have begun researching colonial theater, specifically the work of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, to understand the nature of the relationships between Golden Age theater and Novohispanic theater.
Teaching
I worked for two years at Colegio Los Alerces (2016–2017) and subsequently at Colegio San Francisco de Asís from 2018 to 2024. At the latter institution, I initially served as a teacher. Starting in 2021, I took on the role of Homeroom Teacher (Profesora Jefe), and in 2023, I was appointed Head of Department.
In 2025, I joined the Universidad de los Andes as an adjunct professor in the Bachillerato program, where I taught two sections of the transversal course 'Written Communication I and II.' Additionally, I began teaching the 'Great Books' course at the Center for General Studies—a subject designed to provide students with a well-rounded education beyond their specific majors, which has been highly rated by the students to date. This year, I was hired as a part-time faculty member (22-hour tenure) with the primary objective of conducting research related to the 'Great Books' curriculum.
