Professional Information
The comprehensive curriculum background that includes a DDS degree, a specialty in pediatric dentistry, a master’s degree in biology with focus on Neuroscience, and a PhD in Dentistry with focus on histology and pulp biology, allow me to possess a blend of clinical expertise and scientific knowledge.
In particular, the DDS degree and specialty in pediatric dentistry has given me the possibility to gain a deep insight into the needs and problems that still require further research and transdisciplinary approaches for the benefit and improvement of the quality of health of patients.
On the other hand, the Master degree and PhD have provided me with the tools for the development of critical thinking and scientific rigor (especially in the understanding of pain management and its neurobiological mechanisms, as well as dental tissue repair), and expertise in laboratory techniques (especially in dental pulp histology).
Teaching
From 2012 to the present, I have been teaching and researching in Chile and Japan.
Teaching undergraduate and graduate students has given me the opportunity to review fundamental concepts and communicate complex ideas effectively, fostering deeper discussions on specialized topics and encouraging critical thinking.
All this time in academia has allowed me to integrate knowledge from different areas, promoting interconnected perspectives and ideas that generate a transdisciplinary thinking.
