Profesor asociado en la Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Aplicadas de la Universidad de los Andes, Chile. Coordinador de la especialidad de Obras Civiles en la misma institución.
Obtuvo el título de Ingeniero Civil con diploma en Ingeniería Estructural ambos con distinción máxima por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. El grado de doctor en Civil & Environmental Engineering por la Universidad de California, Davis, estudios que cursó habiendose adjudicado beca del programa Becas Chile.
Research interests
Sus intereses de investigación son la Ingeniería anti-sismica, la modelación y simulación numérica de alta fidelidad de infraestructura civil., la computacion de alto desempeño y cuántica aplicada a ingeniería civil.
Teaching
Ha dictado los cursos de Estática Métodos Computacionales en Obras Civiles y Finite Elements desde hace 9 años. Ha dirigido más de 30 proyectos de título de alumnos de pregrado. Dirigido o co-dirigido 5 tesis de magister. Actualmente es supervisor de 2 alumnos de doctorado.
