Joaquín León Parodi, PhD

I hold a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family from the University of Navarra. I am an attorney and a professor of History and Social Sciences at the University of the Andes.
I have dedicated my professional career to the field of education, combining classroom teaching—which I practiced for over ten years—with research in the Philosophy of Education. Alongside my academic work, I have supported parents, teachers, and school administrators through talks, seminars, and consultations, with the goal of promoting a person-centered education.
I have taught at various educational levels, including elementary and secondary school as well as higher education (undergraduate and graduate), and I frequently give talks at schools and other educational institutions on topics related to character education and person-centered education.
My publications include the books ‘Una educación centrada en la persona. Guía para detenerse a pensar la educación’ y ‘Fundamentación antropológica de la educación desde la Filosofía de Leonardo Polo’. I am also the editor of the critical edition of  ‘Ayudar a crecer. Cuestiones de filosofía de la educación’, from Leonardo Polo, and I have contributed to the editing of  ‘Serie B de las Obras Completas de Leonardo Polo’.
