Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Law. Professor of Ethics at the Institute of Philosophy of the Universidad de los Andes. Author of fifteen individual books, including The Ring of Gyges. An introduction to the central tradition of Ethics (numerous editions, among them, University Notes, Mexico City, 2020). What are politics for? (Res Publica, Santiago, 2012), The reception of the Aristotelian doctrine of what is natural just in medieval commentators of the Nicomachean Ethics (UNAM-Porrúa, Mexico City, 2017) and Community: the missing word: (Tirant Humanidades , Valencia [Spain] 2020); six co-authored books and 135 scientific articles and book chapters. Scholar of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Areas of interest: art and law in viceregal America; Ethics and Political Philosophy of Aristotelian inspiration.
