    Isabel Margarita Zuloaga Ríos is Professor of Civil Law at Universidad de los Andes. She holds DPhil (Doctor of Philosophy) and MJur (Magister Juris) degrees from the University of Oxford. She is a qualified lawyer before the Chilean Supreme Court and is a Bachelor of Laws from Adolfo Ibáñez University (Viña del Mar, Chile). She has published in Chile the book Teoría de la Responsabilidad Precontractual: Aplicaciones en la Formación del Consentimiento de los Contratos (LegalPublishing, Santiago, 3rd edition, 2008) and in England the book Reliance in the Breaking Off of Contractual Negotiations. Trust and Expectation in a Comparative Perspective (Intersentia, Cambridge, 2019). She has also written several chapters of collective books that have been published both in Chile and in Europe. She is a member of the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and of the Red Chilena de Derecho Comparado. She has presented in numerous academic congresses and seminars in Chile and abroad on topics of private, commercial and comparative law. Her research interests focus on the formation of contracts, precontractual liability, good faith, the boundaries between contractual and extracontractual liability, comparative law methodology, instruments of harmonization of private law, international commercial contracts and company directors’ fiduciary duties.
