Personal profile
Professional Information
I am a Civil Industrial Engineer and hold a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Bío-Bío. I also have a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Adolfo Ibáñez University. I have been working as an academic since 2021. In March 2026, I joined the School of Service Management at the University of the Andes, Chile.
Research interests
My research interests focus on the development and application of optimization models and advanced algorithms to solve complex problems in logistics, transportation, and resource management, with the goal of providing consistent, high-quality customer service. A central focus is the study of variants of the vehicle routing problem.
Teaching
My teaching area focuses on optimization and decision-making in complex systems. I have taught courses such as Operations Research and Operations Management, which focus on quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, and the improvement of production and service processes. I have also taught courses in Heuristic and Metaheuristic Algorithm Design, covering advanced techniques for solving highly complex problems where exact methods are inefficient. Finally, I have taught Research Methodology, promoting the development of skills for formulating, designing, and executing rigorous research projects.
