Professional Information
Dr. Helia Morales Medina is a Medical Doctor graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with a specialization in Internal Medicine and a Master's degree in Medical Sciences with a focus on Nutrition from Universidad de Chile. Currently, she serves as a Full Professor and Researcher I at the School of Medicine at Universidad de los Andes, where she leads the Department of Internal Medicine. Her academic and professional career spans over 25 years, during which she has made significant contributions to the training of medical interns and residents, as well as the development of specialization programs in Internal Medicine.
In addition to her teaching role, Dr. Morales Medina maintains an active clinical practice at Clínica Universidad de los Andes, specializing in diabetology. Her clinical approach focuses on the comprehensive management of patients with diabetes, addressing both medical and nutritional aspects of the disease.
