    Fabián is a researcher and assistant professor in research methods and educational psychology at the School of Psychology, Universidad de los Andes (Chile), where he also leads the Laboratory for Innovations in Educational Psychology. He has recently completed his post-doctoral research fellowship at the College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research (Germany) and was previously awarded with the prestigious Thomas J. Alexander fellowship by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, Paris). Fabián received his PhD in Education from the Department of Quantitative Social Science of the UCL Institute of Education (London), sponsored by the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research of Chile. Previously, he obtained a Master in Educational Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, sponsored by the Calbuco Foundation scholarship for post-graduate studies. His research interests include the way the experiences of teacher learning and development affect the quality of instruction and students' learning at different educational levels, educational policies and innovations on teacher and leadership preparation, and impact evaluation designs and cross-national quantitative comparisons for evidence-informed school system reform.
