Professional Information

Dentist. Faculty member in the field of Endodontics since 2015, with experience in undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programs in the specialty at Universidad de los Andes (UANDES). Since 2015, I have taught in the undergraduate Endodontics course, and since 2017, in the Endodontics Specialization Program, where I have been serving as coordinator since 2022. Additionally, I have taught various continuing education courses, such as the “Update on Pulpal and Periapical Diagnosis” course.

I combine my teaching role with providing patient care in my specialty area at the health service of the Policía de Investigaciones (PDI), which allows me to maintain a continuously evolving and up-to-date clinical practice.

My commitment to the community is reflected in my participation in outreach activities, such as the health operation conducted on Juan Fernández Island in 2018. Since 2023, I have been developing a research line in Endodontics, leading the project titled “Prognostic Factors for the Success of Vital Pulp Therapy in Mature Permanent Teeth: A Five-Year Retrospective Cohort Study,” which received funding from the 2023 FAI initiation grant.

I have published articles in the Journal of Endodontics and in non-indexed journals.

As a faculty member in the specialty of Endodontics at Universidad de los Andes (UANDES) since 2015, I deliver both theoretical and practical instruction at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including in the Endodontics Specialization Program, which I have coordinated since 2022.

My responsibilities also include clinical supervision, where I mentor and oversee undergraduate and postgraduate students in the acquisition of essential clinical competencies, ensuring their comprehensive training in advanced endodontic procedures.
