My research is focus in Urban forestry and urban ecology by studying the dynamics of urban socio-ecological systems drawing on ecosystem services assessment and spatial analysis as primary methods.
Her interests center on the quantitative monitoring of ecosystem services of nature-based solutions and understanding how this relates to social drivers and impacts such as planning policies, community participation and human well-being. More recently I am interested on how we can improve the provision of nature benefits for all communities, particularly targeting the improvement of health and well-being.
My teaching area is focused on vegetation and natural resources, particularly in urban environments. I have taught courses in Green infrastructure, Landscape Ecology, Biogeography, Urban forests, Sustainable Urban Ecosystems, Global Sustainable Natural Resources, Forests and Climate Change, Biodiversity and Conservation, Scientific writing and reading, Plant Material.
