Personal profile
Professional Information
I am a clinical psychologist with a Master’s in Data Science and a PhD in Psychotherapy. I have extensive experience in clinical practice, teaching, research, and consultancy in measurement, analytics, and data-driven decision-making, particularly within the fields of mental health and behavior.
I am an active participant in the development of Process-Based Psychotherapy, an evidence-based meta-model designed to facilitate dialogue between perspectives and clinical decision-making, emerging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and third-wave behavioral therapies. My work focuses on developing technological tools to enhance personalization in psychological science, automating routines through Artificial Intelligence, as well as machine and deep learning models. Specifically, I study the mechanisms that maintain common mental health issues and the impact of internet and technology use on mental health and well-being. My core motivation is to produce science that empowers individuals in their mental health journey while enabling clinicians to better serve those in need.
Research interests
I am interested in studying the mechanisms of onset and maintenance of common mental health problems, considering affective, cognitive, behavioral, biological, and social factors. Furthermore, I am interested in developing algorithms to estimate heterogeneity in psychological processes and strategies for personalizing psychological treatments.
Teaching
I teach evidence-based clinical formulation, Process-Based therapy, and cognitive-behavioral oriented psychotherapies. Additionally, I train students in statistics, machine learning, and advanced data analytics
