Manfred Svensson es doctor en filosofía por la Universidad de Múnich, Alemania, investigador senior del Instituto de Estudios de la Sociedad (IES) y director del Instituto de Filosofía de la Universidad de los Andes, Chile. Es autor de numerosos libros, dentro de los cuales cabe destacar Polemizar, aclarar, edificar. El pensamiento de Soren Kierkegaard (2013), Reforma protestante y tradición intelectual cristiana (2016) y C. S. Lewis. Una introducción (2017). Es también coeditor de Aquinas Among the Protestants (junto con David VanDrunen, 2017) y Secularization, Deseculatization, and Toleration (junto con Vyacheslav Karpov, 2021).
Additional Research Interests
His research focuses on various aspects of Augustine and the Augustinian tradition, the history of the concept of toleration, and the Protestant reception of Aristotle’s practical philosophy.
