I received the title of dental surgeon in 2000, and then completed the studies leading to the title/degree of endodontic specialist (2003), master's degree in dental sciences (2009) and diploma in education (2014), in addition to which I have completed numerous courses in the areas of teacher training, research and endodontics.
From the beginning of my career I worked in clinic, in public and private sectors, as well as in university teaching, both undergraduate and postgraduate. I have participated in research projects for competitive funds as a coinvestigator and as responsible researcher, which has resulted in various distinctions, presentations at conferences and publications. Additionally, I participate in scientific societies as an active member, having been a member of the board of directors of the Society of Endodontics of Chile (2010-2014) and Vice President of IADR Chile (2015).
I am currently dedicated to private clinical practice and university teaching, and I am director of the specialty program in endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Los Andes.
I have been teaching at university level since 2001, starting my teaching work at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Chile as an undergraduate. Since then, I have worked as an undergraduate, postgraduate and postgraduate teacher. Since 2018 I have been teaching at the Universidad de los Andes, an undergraduate endodontics subject and a postgraduate specialization program in endodontics.
Since 2021, I have been the director of the specialization program in endodontics taught by this university.
I began my research development working on biomarkers of periodontal and periapical diseases.
I currently participate as a co-investigator of retrospective cohorts that study periapical surgery and vital pulp therapy, and I lead a qualitative research project that studies PREMs associated with endodontic clinic care.
