I am an academic in the field of pediatric dentistry and preventive dentistry. I graduated as a Dental Surgeon from the University of Chile and have complemented my training with postgraduate studies in related specialties. Currently, I have the honor of serving as the Vice Dean for Students at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of the Andes.

In my role as a professor, I teach courses in pediatric dentistry, focusing on early dental care and the preventive care of children's oral health. I am passionate about promoting a commitment to quality and professional ethics in the education of our future dentists.

My research focuses on oral health in children, with studies on dental caries, the prevention of oral diseases, and the impact of dietary habits on pediatric dental health. I have had the opportunity to collaborate on various research projects and publish in scientific journals, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in my specialty.

I actively participate in the professional community through conferences and seminars, contributing to the ongoing education of colleagues in pediatric dentistry. I am dedicated to promoting oral health and the well-being of our youngest patients through my teaching, research, and administrative work.

As a faculty member, I specialize in pediatric dentistry and preventive dentistry. At the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of the Andes, I teach courses focused on dental care for children, emphasizing the promotion of oral health and the prevention of dental diseases.

I am passionate about highlighting the importance of early dental care, and through my classes, I aim to prepare future dentists to provide comprehensive and ethical care to the pediatric population.

My research interests focus on several key aspects of pediatric dentistry. Primarily, I study children's oral health, emphasizing the prevention of dental diseases and promoting good oral hygiene habits among young populations.

I focus on dental caries, researching epidemiology, prevention, and treatment in pediatric populations, with the aim of developing effective strategies for its management. Additionally, I have a strong interest in preventive dentistry, where I design and evaluate intervention programs that encourage early dental care.

I also analyze the impact of dietary habits on children’s dental health, seeking to promote healthy eating habits that benefit oral health. Furthermore, I investigate oral health education, exploring methods and strategies to enhance awareness about the importance of dental health among children and their families.

Another area that deeply engages my interest in dentistry is working with individuals with disabilities, a field in which I have had the privilege of developing professionally. Through my dental work, I have contributed not only to the oral well-being of these patients but also to strengthening their inclusion within family and social environments, providing comprehensive support and promoting care tailored to their specific needs.
