Professional Information
Dr. Ana Elisa Gonçalves Pereira is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universidad de los Andes (Chile), where she also serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. She earned her PhD in Economics from the FGV São Paulo School of Economics (Brazil), after completing a BA in Economics and an MA in Development Economics at the Federal University of Paraná, and a BA in Piano at the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná. She joined UAndes in July 2017.
Research interests
Her main research interests focus on information flows in financial markets, how agents —investors, firms, managers— learn from stock-market activity and equity crowdfunding, and how this learning affects capital structure, rollover risk and financial market efficiency.
Teaching
In teaching, Professor Pereira delivers undergraduate and graduate courses in corporate finance, financial structure theory and financial analysis.
