She directs the Centro de Estudios Históricos de Religión y Cultura. Awards: "Miguel Cruchaga Tocornal", Chilean Academy of History (2009) "Fe y Razón", Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2010), for doctoral thesis.
Research areas: history of women, religion, education and culture.
Research interests
Sus intereses abarcan principalmente áreas vinculadas con la historia de la religiosidad, las mujeres, la educación, la cultura y la espiritualidad en Chile. Estos intereses se reflejan en su trabajo sobre devoción mariana, biografías de santos, educación religiosa femenina, historia monástica (especialmente monasterios femeninos), historia de santidad, y prácticas de piedad popular.
También ha investigado el trasfondo cultural y social de instituciones religiosas femeninas de vida activa y contemplativa, y la manera en que la religiosidad se vive y transforma en distintas épocas históricas.
Teaching
En su rol docente, Alexandrine de la Taille imparte cursos en el Instituto de Historia de UANDES, tanto a nivel de pregrado como de posgrado. Sus cursos están en torno a historiografía, historia de América y temas específicos de historia religiosa, educación y cultura. Participa también en el Doctorado en Historia, siendo su directora.
