Professional Information
Associate Professor Álvaro Felipe García Marín joined the Faculty of Business and Economics at the Universidad de los Andes in July 2018 as research faculty. He holds a Commercial Engineering degree and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Chile, and an M.A. in Economics as well as a Ph.D. in Management from UCLA.
Research interests
His research interests lie in international trade, macroeconomics and productivity. In particular, he has explored topics such as production networks, export-plant efficiency gains, market power and labour-market outcomes.
Teaching
In his teaching activity, he is responsible for courses related to international trade, macroeconomics and productivity within the Faculty of Business and Economics at UANDES.
