Alvaro Espejo is an Associate Professor at ESE Business School, Universidad de Los Andes, Chile. He earned a Ph.D. in Management degree at IESE Business School, Barcelona and a MSc. In Engineering degree at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He is also an Actor and an Executive Coach.

His research focuses on proactive behaviors, motivation, and leadership in organizations. Professor Espejo participates in international research networks that study cross-country differences in values, attitudes, and behaviors of executives and employees. He is the author of numerous articles published in prestigious international journals, including Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Research, Journal of World Business, and International Business Review, among others.

He has presented his research at various international conferences, including those of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and the Academy of Management (AOM), with his work being selected among the best research contributions. He is a member of the Academy of Management (AOM), European Academy of Management (EURAM), International Coaching Community (ICC), the Scientific Society of Psychology and Organizational Behavior (SOCIPCO), and a founding member of Minga, the Chilean Group for Organizational Studies. Professor Espejo advises various companies on leadership, motivation, cultural change, and organizational alignment, and he provides executive, team, and organizational coaching.
