This department encompasses the units of Endodontics, General Pathology, Oral Medicine and Pathophysiology, and Periodontics. Its mission is to preserve oral health through the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental and periodontal diseases, with a focus on high-quality conservative practices.

The Endodontics unit specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the dental pulp and periapical tissues, training students in advanced techniques for pulp conservation and regeneration. The General and Oral Pathology and Applied Pathophysiology unit studies diseases affecting the oral mucosa and related tissues, offering a comprehensive approach to oral health and its connection with systemic conditions.
