Organization profile
The Department of Biomedical Sciences, Ethics, Research and Education of the Faculty of Dentistry, in line with the principles and values of the Universidad de los Andes, seeks to be a benchmark of academic excellence in education and research in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate dentistry.
The department brings together the units of Biomathematics-Biostatistics-Computing-Research-Research Methodology-Epidemiology and Public Health-Research Work-Thesis-Clinical Ethics-Genetics-Legal Dentistry-Pharmacology-Morphology-Physiology-Education in Dentistry-Microbiology-Immunology-General Biochemistry-Molecular Biology-Physics-Chemistry and English.
In addition to teaching undergraduate courses, the Department's academics conduct research in basic and/or applied sciences, teach in graduate and postgraduate programs, actively participating in national and international conferences or meetings in their areas of disciplinary interest.
