The Clínica Universidad de los Andes (Clínica UANDES) has a strong commitment to clinical and translational research. The clinic promotes the generation of new medical knowledge, the development of clinical trials, and evidence-based practice to improve the quality of patient care.
One of the pillars of its research activity is the integration of clinical care with scientific studies, allowing patients to access innovative therapies (medications, vaccines, technologies) safely and under ethical and regulatory standards.
In addition, the clinic fosters research excellence through internal awards, methodological support, training, and guidance for scientific publication.
Research at Clínica UANDES is founded on three core principles:
