El Centro de Investigación en Educación y Aprendizaje de la Escuela de Educación de la Universidad de los Andes fue creado en 2014 y concebido como un espacio de encuentro e intercambio interdisciplinario de académicos de diversas facultades de la universidad, que sirve a los fines de potenciar el desarrollo de conocimiento de alto nivel científico en torno a la educación.
El propósito del Centro de Investigación en Educación y Aprendizaje es contribuir al desarrollo de investigación y reflexión académica en torno a la educación, entendida como esfera de relevancia para el despliegue de potencialidades humanas y sociales. Todo ello orientado por los aportes de las ciencias de la educación y disciplinas tales como pedagogía, psicología educacional, filosofía, sociología de la educación, economía, política educativa, tecnologías de la información y comunicaciones; todas las cuales contribuyen al conocimiento científico de la educación en sus diversas aristas.
